Many thanks to Kim Wilde, who opened the private view on Friday night - and sold her painting!!

£8,000 raised!!!!!

When we first started thinking about “Everyday Matters” we envisaged selling around 100 canvases. Little did we know what was to come. We eventually  sold 267 and had 234 returned to hang at our exhibition. The work was as diverse as it was impressive, creating an exciting show for exhibitors and visitors.

The private view attracted over 200 guests, including Kim Wilde, who opened the event. Over the two following days we sold 112 canvases, many cups of tea and coffee, as well as delicious cakes, generously donated by Jane Charman, of Skillett in Stanstead Abbotts. The final total raised was an amazing £8,000, which will go to the Norma Adams Crocus Appeal at Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all the artists who bought and completed their canvases, the purchasers, and the 600-plus visitors to the exhibition, as well as many others who worked behind the scenes to make this event such a success.
