Christmastime 2008

December 6&7

Another successful and well-attended show and we are delighted to have raised around £800. This has enabled us to buy a complete football strip for Oak View special needs school in Loughton and, as you can see from our picture, top, the boys look very smart. Let’s hope the new look spurs them on to many victories! We also made a substantial donation to our main charity – Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

The winner of the name the rocking horse draw was Debbie Hoy, who picked Bernard.  She has given it to friends’ daughters Amy, 7 (left), and Natalie 3,  who seem delighted with their new “pet” . Here is what Debbie said: “They love him and will get a lot of joy from him.  He has given lots of rides, has been told stories and had his mane and tail brush and eaten lots of imaginary carrots and apples.” Many thanks to Annette Karmiloff-Smith who kindly donated the prize.
