With an early career in floristry and horticulture it's hardly surprising that flowers and natural form influence my work as an artist.  Ceramics is a perfect medium for me, allowing experimentation with 3D shape. Textiles, coupled with vibrant glazes, enable me to create tactile surface patterns that shine out in our sometimes black and white lives.

The focus of my work in 2007 became the female form and organic shapes. This inspired me to produce a body of work relating to the strengths and weaknesses of human nature, a theme of  ‘roughed-up’ glamour that real women can relate to!   Transferring my digital images to canvas and enhancing with acrylic paints has made it possible for me to experiment with traditional and modern processes.

In 2006 I completed an HNC Fine Art Course at Herts Regional College, Ware.  My studio is in Walkern and I teach art part-time to Key Stage 2 children in a Stevenage school.  clairenoble146@hotmail.co.uk
