Chris Davalle Portrait

Chris Davalle

I was a journalist with The Times for over 32 years, so have been more at home with words than visuals. But in the past few years I have returned to my interest in photography. Using digital photography, the rewards are more immediate than in the darkrooms I used to haunt. I love to explore the different methods of computer manipulation of prints and the exacting control one can wield, turning the mundane into the spectacular. I print using high-quality inkjet on long-life paper so hopefully my images do not fade into obscurity too quickly.
I have been posting images daily on the Blipfoto.com website for over 6 years and, so far, have not missed a day. Some of the images here are from the site. My name there is xtoffdav, so please have a look.
